Plants Update: Spring 2026
Spring has rolled around and I have updated my plant catalogue, including exciting changes:
- Alvin, the cactus, has bloomed again with pretty white flowers
- Bob, the pineapple plant, has been pruned and looks naked
- Esther, the hardy houseleek, has been re-potted due to the root-network becoming too vast
- Rosa, the red-green Coleus, has become too leggy and was heavily pruned into 9 cuttings. I am in the process of propagating them
- Voldo, the three-metered ivy, has also become too leggy and required pruning. I am also propagating these and have moved him somewhere more sunny
- A new plant, Jerry, now resides in my living room. He is a small fern in a very pretty thrifted hexagonal pot
- A new plant, Maxine, now hangs out by Bob. She is a Peperomia and is very sensitive, dropping many leaves. My last Peperomia died, so this will be interesting
Propagation of Rosa and Voldo in my living room Rosa with emerging leaves and her yet-to-be-named daughter consisting of 3 cuttings
